There are three modes of transportation to reach the city of Lords - Haridwar. Visitors can approach the holy city by air, bus and by rail routes.
By Air
Devotees from all corner of the world visit the sacred city of Haridwar throughout the year. To reach the holy destination pilgrims can travel by airways. The airport at Dehradun is the closest to Haridwar. It's popular by the name of Jolly Grant. The airport is at 35 kilometes from the most revered pilgrimage destination. There are countable flights which take off from Dehradun. Deccan flight operates thrice (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) in a week to Dehradun. It will be convenient to cover the distance by Deccan Airlines.
By Rail
Haridwar, one of the popular destinations of Char Dham, is well connected to all parts of the country. It has a railway station of its own. Countless people travel to the most devoted site by rail every year. Trains run from these major cities mostly Kolkata, Varansi, Delhi and Mumbai. New Delhi is the major center for railways to visit the holy city. Some of the trains also make a stoppage here.
By Road
Haridwar is easily accessible from the major cities in India by bus as well. The distance between New Delhi and Haridwar is 215 kilometers. Since it is connected via the national highways, bus route is convenient to get there. Private transportations are also available from key cities like Delhi, Dehradun, Agra, Jaipur etc.
